The Introductory Safety and Health Representative Training Module 1 - Occupational Safety and Health Legislation is an essential element of the introductory course for safety and health representatives. The Commission has revised this module to take into account recent changes to the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984.

Guidelines and criteria
Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 (the Act) the Commission for Occupational Safety and Health (the Commission) accredits introductory training courses for safety and health representatives. The following guidelines have been developed to provide guidance for organisations seeking accreditation of introductory courses for safety and health representatives.
Accredited training providers
Safety and health representative training courses which have been accredited by the Commission for Occupational Safety and Health in accordance with the Western Australian Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 can be found here.
Accredited training courses for Safety and Health Representatives - Annual report 2006-07
The Commission for Occupational Safety and Health criteria for accreditation require each provider of an accredited training course for safety and health representatives to submit an annual report on the delivery of courses for the year ending the preceding 30 June.
