Small Business Employment Advisory Service

Small business employers now have access to free, professional and confidential employment advice at the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) situated at 553 Hay Street Perth.

This joint initiative from the Department of Commerce and the Small Business Development Corporation offers employers the advantages of a one-stop-shop for all of their business needs to improve business skills, knowledge and compliance.

The Small Business Employment Advisory Service will offer information and advice on:

  1. starting a business,
  2. understanding licence requirements,
  3. getting specialist business guidance,
  4. workshops, seminars and small business training
  5. employment obligations,
  6. developing smart and simple ways to record employment information, and
  7. how to pay employees the correct wages and entitlements.   

Workshops, seminars and small business training will also be made available.

A Labour Relations adviser will be present at the Hay Street SBDC office from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm every Thursday.  The service will be closed from 18 December 2009 to 14 January 2010.
