Unleaded petrol price alert

Issue Date:  -  Monday, 19 January 2009

Tomorrow (Tuesday, 20 January 2009) some BP sites are increasing their unleaded petrol (ULP) prices up to 18 cents per litre to 119.9cpl.

The size of this increase does not reflect recent movements in wholesale petrol prices.

More than 150 petrol stations are selling below the metropolitan average of 103.8cpl tomorrow.

FuelWatch is encouraging Perth motorists to buy their petrol today or tomorrow while cheaper prices are still available and to always check petrol prices before they buy.

Tomorrow’s cheapest ULP is available for:

·        100.9cpl at United Roleystone in the East;

·        100.7cpl at two sites – Gull First Avenue, Mt Lawley and Peak Bayswater in the North; and

·        100.8cpl at Caltex Woolworths Canning Vale in the South.

Motorists can find the cheapest prices by checking the FuelWatch website at   www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au or by phoning 1300 55 08 08.
