WorkSafe investigates death of farmer
WorkSafe is investigating the work-related death of a farmer after he was injured at Wagin on Friday February 23.
The man was working with a grader on a property, and sustained crush injuries when he became trapped under a grader blade. He was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital, where he died this morning.
Inspectors will investigate in consultation with the Coronial Investigation Unit of WA Police.
WorkSafe thoroughly investigates all serious work-related injuries and deaths in WA with a view to preventing future incidents of a similar nature.
WorkSafe WA Commissioner Nina Lyhne said any work-related death was a tragedy, and relayed her sincere condolences to the man’s family.
