Consumer price alert - LPG prices – Start of new price cycle

Tomorrow (Sunday 26 August) Caltex and Caltex/Woolworths are increasing their liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices to 59.9 cents per litre (cpl) at a number of their outlets.

This signals the start of a new LPG price cycle in Perth.

The average price of LPG across Perth tomorrow is 52.2 cpl, however more than 100 service stations will still be selling LPG at 51.5 cpl or less. FuelWatch  is encouraging motorists to buy their LPG today or tomorrow while cheaper prices are still available and to check LPG prices before they buy.

FuelWatch encourages motorists to reward those outlets that hold lower prices by buying their fuel from them.

In the Eastern suburbs tomorrow the cheapest LPG can be purchased from 5 outlets for 49.9 cpl.

In the Northern suburbs tomorrow the cheapest LPG can be purchased from 2 outlets for 44.8 cpl.

And South of the river tomorrow the cheapest LPG can be purchased from United in Leda for 47.5 cpl.

Motorists can find the best prices by checking the FuelWatch website at www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au or by phoning 1300 55 08 08.  A free daily email service is also available.
