Healy Air Conditioning companies named.

More than seventy complaints relating to poor service and a history of having a dismissive attitude towards customers has seen the Consumer Protection Commissioner publicly name Alwyn Robert Healy of Wanneroo for a string of consumer related issues dating back to 1998.

Mr. Healy’s Bayswater businesses Healy Air Conditioning Pty Ltd which went into liquidation in February, and Solar Evap Australia trading as Airworld, have very poor track records in customer service in that complaints by consumers were not addressed and undertakings made to Consumer Protection by Mr. Healy as a Director were ignored.

“Mr. Healy and his various businesses have caused a substantial amount of inconvenience and expense to consumers, which we view as very serious. To protect the community from further disreputable service I have decided to publicly name him and his operations”, Consumer Protection Commissioner Patrick Walker said.

Since Healy Air Conditioning Pty Ltd (formally trading as Airworld) went into liquidation, reports of Mr. Healy’s other company Solar Evap Australia (trading as Airworld) seeking to pick up warranty service work have been made to Consumer Protection.

“Customers are understandably confused and angry when they find that their warranties with Mr. Healy’s defunct company are worthless and they are then approached by a different company run by the same person offering warranty services at additional cost”, Commissioner Walker said.

Consumer Protection holds grave concerns that Solar Evap Australia (trading as Airworld) may be trading whilst insolvent as the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is moving to have Mr. Healy’s business wound up in the Federal Court.
