Work Safety Awards Western Australia

Recognising outstanding OSH practices

The Work Safety Awards Western Australia introduced in January 2006 recognise outstanding occupational safety and health management, solutions and innovation in Western Australian workplaces that reduce the risk of work-related injury and disease.

The award criteria have been agreed by all states in Australia. Each year WorkSafe will automatically enter WA winners into the National Safe Work Australia Awards administered by the National Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

2008 Work Safety Awards Western Australia

Entries closed.

The awards provide the opportunity for innovative Western Australians to gain state and national recognition for workplace safety achievements.

The five award categories for 2008 are:

  1. Best workplace safety and health management system
  2. Best workplace safety and health practices in small business
  3. Best public sector leadership for injury prevention and management
  4. Best solution to an identified workplace safety and health issue
  5. Best individual contribution to safety and health

2007 Work Safety Awards Western Australia

The 2007 Work Safety Awards finalists and winners were announced at the Safety Achievers Dinner on 26 October 2007.

2006 Work Safety Awards Western Australia

2006 finalists were presented with finalist certificates and winners with trophies at the Safety Achievers Dinner on 27 October 2006. Finalist and winners.
