Updates on regional visits will be published shortly.
Alternatively, you may fill in the application form and register your interest, we will then arrange a consultant to visit you as soon as possible.
3. Follow-up Visit Program
The ThinkSafe Follow-up Visit program is a pilot trial recently introduced by WorkSafe to the small business community in August 2007. The trial came about as a result of the 2006 evaluation of the ThinkSafe Small Business Assistance program which showed that the program could be improved by providing small businesses with follow up advice. The ThinkSafe program provides a free and confidential workplace safety and health assessment of up to 3 hours to small business in high risk industry sectors.
After one year from the date of the first visit, small businesses are eligible to apply for the ThinkSafe follow-up visits. The program applies the same principles as the ThinkSafe program. Workplace safety and health assessments are conducted by independent consultants with a maximum of 3 hours at the workplace of small businesses and at no cost to small businesses. Specifically the objectives of the ThinkSafe follow-up visit program are:
- to assist the small business client with implementation of the Safety Action Plan after the first visit (if available from the first visit).
- to provide focus on the key occupational safety and health (OSH) and/or injury management issues and assist with making changes;
- to discuss barriers and challenges with implementation and provide alternative practical and affordable solutions; and
- to gather information on small business needs and feedback in order to continually update the ThinkSafe program.
If you accessed our ThinkSafe Program more than one year ago, you may qualify for the follow-up visit. To apply for a Follow-up Visit, download and complete the Follow-up Visit application form and fax the form to 9321 2148 or call our ThinkSafe Liaison Officer on 9321 8850 to check whether you are eligible.
