This package has been designed to provide a trainer with the information to run a workshop on how to reduce the risk of manual handling injuries in the workplace.

1. Introduction/instructions
This package has been designed to provide a trainer with the information to run a workshop on how to reduce the risk of manual handling injuries in the workplace. It has been designed as a Powerpoint presentation, but if the equipment is not available to run such a workshop, the slides can be printed and photocopied onto overhead transparencies.
It can be used by:
- trainers in any organisation; or
- training consultants who provide manual handling training.
2. Workshop participants
It is envisaged that participants for the workshop would be leading hands, safety and health representatives, supervisors, managers or others who will have responsibility for implementing the Manual Handling Code of Practice and thereby the Manual Handling Regulations.
