Work Safe Forums
The annual Work Safe Forums are presented by WorkSafe, the Commission for Occupational Safety and Health and WorkCover Western Australia.
The target audience for the forums is elected safety and health representatives – employees, managers and supervisors are also welcome to attend.

Inspirational speakers for 2008
The keynote speaker is Professor Niki Ellis, occupational health expert from the University of Queensland. She will talk about the effects of working under continued stress on the safety, health and wellbeing of workers.
Well-known football identity Kevin Sheedy will talk about the importance of good workplace safety leadership, teamwork and consultation to make sure workers 'come home safe'. Come home safe is the 2008 forum theme.
Plenary speakers include Clive Brown, Chair of the National Mine Safety Framework Steering Group and Tony Cooke, Chair of the Commission for Occupational Safety and Health.

2. Previous forums
Successful Work Safe Forums have been held in Perth each year since 2002.
2007 Perth Forum
The Perth 2007 Forum was held on Monday 22 October at the Perth Centre. The forum was WorkSafe’s main event during Safe Work Australia Week.
The forum featured a range of speakers with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in occupational safety and health. The 2007 program included a mix of plenary sessions and concurrent workshop sessions. Over 600 delegates attended on the day.
