Industry Facilitation and Support Program
This program is a specific calling of companies and small businesses seeking financial assistance up to $25,000 to supply the resources sector in Western Australia.
The Department of Commerce invites applicants seeking assistance to pre-qualify or increase competitiveness as suppliers of products and services to major resource projects in Western Australia, to apply for financial assistance under the Industry Facilitation and Support Program (IFSP).
Background
The Department of Commerce has established that a number of private sector firms, companies and small enterprises in Western Australia are experiencing difficulties in securing opportunities as suppliers to major resource projects in the State. Factors, such as the increasing use of modular construction technology, global supply chains, increased competition from Asia, and changed project business and procurement models, have had a significant impact on the local content market resulting in lower levels of local industry participation over the last few years, particularly in offshore energy projects. This issue is considered by the department to be significant enough to provide targeted assistance to affected entities, hence this specific calling.
Current round
Funding under this specific calling will provide financial assistance under the IFSP to support projects that assist private sector firms, companies and small enterprises in Western Australia to pre-qualify or increase competitiveness as suppliers of products and services to major resource projects.
Level of funding support
For this round of funding under the IFSP, the applicant is eligible to claim up to 50% of approved eligible expenditure to a maximum of $25,000.
