Welcome to EnergySafety

EnergySafety is responsible for the technical and safety regulation of all the electrical industry and most of the gas industry in Western Australia. This regulation includes the safety and energy efficiency of appliances and certain types of equipment.

EnergySafety also promotes electrical and gas safety to people in the home and at work, and in various ways encourages electrical and gas workers in industry to use safe work practices.

Order - Western Power's wood pole management practices

Following EnergySafety's audit of Western Power's wood pole management practices an order has been issued to Western Power.  This order requires Western Power to alter its work practices relating to wood pole inspection, strength assessment, serviceability criteria management generally and, in particular, rural wood pole safety. Download a copy of the order here.
