Fuel price advice for Perth drivers
Issue Date: - Wednesday, 16 December 2009
Fill up today or tomorrow if you want to pay less for your petrol – that’s the advice from FuelWatch.
It’s because of the start of a new petrol price cycle on Thursday 17 December 2009, with some BP, Coles Express and Caltex sites increasing their ULP prices between 16 and 17 cents per litre (cpl) to just below 129.9 cpl.
Despite these increases, 62 per cent of stations in Perth – that’s a total of 184 – will be selling at or below the metropolitan average of 117.3 cents per litre tomorrow.
FuelWatch advises drivers to ALWAYS check the price of petrol before they buy to ensure they avoid the higher priced sites.
Wednesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 109.9 cpl at Gull High Wycombe in the East;
- 110.5 cpl at Caltex Woolworths Osborne Park in the North; and
- 110.5 cpl at Caltex Woolworths Warnbro Fair in the South.
Motorists can find the cheapest prices via a free daily email from FuelWatch – simply head to www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au to subscribe. More than 37,000 people are already signed up.
Alternatively you can also just log on to www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au each day, or phone 1300 55 08 08.
