Fuel price advice for Perth drivers

Issue Date:  -  Tuesday, 1 December 2009

Perth motorists are currently enjoying the benefits of a highly price competitive petrol market. The Perth petrol market is not following the weekly ULP price cycle as observed since March 2009, which is keeping prices at the pumps lower.

However, prices at some sites are still exhibiting a degree of volatility. Now, more than ever, it is important that consumers check prices before they fill up.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, 2 December 2009) seven sites are increasing their unleaded petrol (ULP) price by up to 17 cents per litre to 129.9 cpl. Other companies may also increase their prices in the coming days.

214 petrol stations are selling below the metropolitan average of 113.7 cpl tomorrow.

FuelWatch advises drivers to ALWAYS check the price of petrol before they buy.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  •          108.9 cpl at Gull High Wycombe in the East;
  •          108.8 cpl at Caltex Woolworths Ellenbrook in the North; and
  •          108.8 cpl at Caltex Woolworths South Lake in the South.

Motorists can find the cheapest prices via a free daily email from FuelWatch. Simply head to www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au to subscribe. More than 38,000 people are already signed up.

Alternatively you can just log on to www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au  each day, or phone 1300 55 08 08.
