ULP price alert - start of new price cycle in Perth
Issue Date: - Tuesday, 11 August 2009
FuelWatch is encouraging Perth motorists to buy their petrol today or tomorrow while cheaper prices are still available and to always check petrol prices before they buy.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 12 August 2009, some BP sites are increasing their ULP prices to 136.9 cents per litre (cpl), an increase of 16.4 cpl. This signals the start of a new petrol price cycle in Perth.
Perth’s weekly petrol price cycle means not all retailers change their prices at the same time so there is a wide variation in prices and it pays motorists to shop around for cheap prices.
Tomorrow, 188 (65%) petrol stations are selling below the metropolitan average of 118.2 cpl.
Tomorrow’s cheapest ULP is available for:
- 112.5 cpl at Caltex Woolworths Forrestfield;
- 108.5 cpl at Gull North Perth; and
- 108.5 cpl at Peak Maddington.
Motorists can find the cheapest prices by checking the FuelWatch website at www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au or by phoning 1300 55 08 08.
