Issue Date: - Monday, 4 February 2008
Tomorrow (Monday 4 February 2008) BP is increasing their unleaded petrol (ULP) price to 143.9 cents per litre (cpl) at a number of their sites.
This signals the start of a new petrol price cycle in Perth. Over the last few months, petrol prices in the metropolitan area have been following a two-week cycle. This means that petrol prices currently increase over a two to three day period and then slowly decrease over the next week and a half.
The average price of ULP across Perth tomorrow is 131.7 however more than 215 service stations will still be selling petrol at 130.5 cpl or less. FuelWatch is encouraging motorists to buy their petrol today or tomorrow while cheaper prices are still available and to check petrol prices before they buy.
Motorists are encouraged to buy their fuel from retailers maintaining cheaper prices.
In the Eastern suburbs tomorrow the cheapest fuel can be purchased from Gull Bellevue for 128.3 cpl.
