ULP price alert - start of new price cycle
Tomorrow (Tuesday 25 September) some BP and Caltex sites are increasing their unleaded petrol (ULP) prices to 132.9 cents per litre (cpl). This signals the start of a new petrol price cycle in Perth.
Petrol prices in the metropolitan area generally follow a two week cycle. Petrol prices currently increase during a two to three day period and then slowly decrease over the next week and a half. Recently the start of the petrol price cycle has been occurring fortnightly on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
The average price of ULP across Perth tomorrow is 121.8 cpl, however 150 service stations will still be selling petrol at 120.0 cpl or less.
FuelWatch encourages motorists to buy their petrol today or tomorrow while cheaper prices are still available and to check petrol prices before they buy.
Tomorrow’s cheapest ULP in the Eastern suburbs can be purchased from Coles Express Middle Swan for 116.2 cpl.
Tomorrow’s cheapest ULP in the Northern suburbs can be purchased from Coles Express Edgewater for 116.2 cpl.
And tomorrow’s cheapest ULP in the Southern suburbs can be purchased from Coles Express Canningvale for 116.2 cpl.
Motorists can find the best prices by checking the FuelWatch website at www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au <http://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/> or by phoning 1300 550 808.
