ULP price alert - start of new price cycle

A number of BP sites are increasing their unleaded petrol (ULP) prices tomorrow to 132.9 cents per litre (cpl). Some Caltex/Ampol sites are also increasing their unleaded petrol (ULP) prices to 131.9 cents per litre (cpl). This signals the start of a new petrol price cycle in Perth.

Petrol prices in the metropolitan area generally follow a two week cycle.  This means that petrol prices currently increase over a two to three day period and then slowly decrease over the next week and a half. Recently the start of the petrol price cycle has been occurring fortnightly on a Monday or Tuesday.

The average price of ULP across Perth tomorrow is 119.6 cpl, however 150 service stations will still be selling petrol at 117.9 cpl or less.

FuelWatch is encouraging motorists to buy their petrol today or tomorrow while cheaper prices are still available and to check petrol prices before they buy.

Tomorrow’s cheapest ULP in the Eastern suburbs can be purchased from Gull Karragullen Motors for 113.3 cpl.

Tomorrow’s cheapest ULP in the Northern suburbs can be purchased from 4 sites for 113.9 cpl.

And tomorrow’s cheapest ULP in the Southern suburbs can be purchased from Gull Armadale for 113.9 cpl.

Motorists can find the best prices by checking the FuelWatch website at www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au or by phoning 1300 550 808.
