WorkSafe investigates death of worker at Canning Vale
WorkSafe is investigating the work-related death of a 32-year-old Scarborough man at Canning Vale yesterday afternoon.
The man was servicing forklifts at a galvanizing business when the forklift on which he was working fell from its jack, crushing him.
Inspectors arrived at the site soon after the incident, and will interview witnesses and continue to investigate.
WorkSafe thoroughly investigates all serious work-related injuries and deaths in WA with a view to preventing future incidents of a similar nature.
WorkSafe WA Commissioner Nina Lyhne said any work-related death was a tragedy, and relayed her sincere condolences to the man’s family.
